Personally, I’ve always been in love with fashion from the past. I’ve always dug around my mom’s old closet for pieces that I can use. The comeback of 90’s fashion started in 2015, stayed strong in 2016, and now it’s 2017, and we’re all still on the 90’s train. There’s just something about their carefree, grunge, street style that we cannot get enough of. The 90’s were all about self-expression, comfort, youthfulness, and being creative with your sense of style, and I think that’s just something that we all crave for now.
Last June 25, 2016, I got the chance to shoot with Mr. Denys Jan Lee of 1225 studios, and it was an absolute blast. It was my first photo shoot in a long time so I was really excited but also a bit nervous. Unlike my past shoots, I didn’t have as much time to prepare for this shoot since it was scheduled on such short notice. Nevertheless, I still tried my best to be ready for the day of my shoot.
Here’s a few do’s and don’t’s to make the best out of photo shoots: Continue reading
For many, summer has become synonymous to fun, happiness, rest, a sanity break, and more. With the recent academic calendar shift here in the Philippines, some students may be finding themselves faced with a certain dilemma. Now that the break is finally here, summer is gone. What now? Are we doomed to a break of staying indoors and not having fun? Is it time to say good bye to the fun, happy days of summer? Not yet. Here are 5 ways to attain that blissful state of summer even when it’s not summer.
I went to Bloggers United 11 last May 28, 2016 at Green Sun, Makati. I was so excited for this bloggers bazaar that featured the country’s top fashion and beauty bloggers. It was a good way to celebrate the end of my school year. I got to shop, meet new bloggers, and meet some of my favorite bloggers. There were so many things that I loved about Bloggers United. I attended Blogapalooza’s Horizons last May 21, 2016 at Centris Elements. This was my first blogger event and I was so excited. I spent a lot of time figuring out what to wear (check out my outfit details here), what to bring, and what to say when interacting with the different businesses and bloggers. I made sure that the first impression I was making was a good one, but still true to myself. Continue reading
I attended Blogapalooza 2016 last May 21, and I was so excited. It was my first blogger event, and of course, I had no idea what to wear. What we wear is very important, especially in events like these. It can represent who you are as a person, your branding, and can influence people’s first impressions of you. Continue reading
Modeling has been a dream of mine since I was a young girl. This dream probably stemmed from my mom being a model when she was a teenager. She would tell me stories about her modeling days, how fun fashion shows were, and how she even got to keep some of the clothes and shoes she modeled. She also joined Bb. Pilipinas (Ms. Philippines), and got into the top 20. She was also in several TV commercials when she was younger.
When I was younger, I was very outgoing and confident. I lost this when I went into high school, and so I never found the confidence and motivation to further pursue modeling. Then one summer, my mom decided to enroll me in a modeling and personality development workshop. Continue reading
It’s summer time in the Philippines and things are starting to heat up, which makes this the perfect time to wear a crop top. Although the weather has never actually stopped me from wearing what I want to wear before. Come to think of it, nothing has ever stopped me from wearing what I want to. Especially, not what society says. Girls and guys alike, be proud of your bodies, but know that it’s not all you have to offer. Let’s stop all forms of body shaming.
Ever have those days when you’re feeling lazy, but still want to look fab? Days where you just want to dress down and go to school (or wherever it is you’re going to) in pajamas, but you can’t? I’ve had days like that.
When I wore this outfit, I honestly wanted to wear a really loose shirt, shorts and sneakers. Sadly, I couldn’t do this because I had somewhere to go after class. So I did the next best thing, I pulled off a “Model Off Duty” look. Continue reading
