Tusita Temple or Dou Shuai Tian Gong in Chinese is a temple in Keqiao, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang China. “Dou” means old combat armor, “Shuai” means to command, and “Tian Gong” means the temple in heaven. When my friends told me that we were going on a hike, this was not at all what I expected. I expected trails and walking on grass and soil. Instead, there were smooth roads and cement stairs. This was definitely a one of a kind experience because the temple at the top was simply breathtaking.
I’m in the middle of a lake that’s covered with ice. I notice that the ice was starting to melt and it was getting pretty thin. I don’t even know how I got here. It’s like I just woke up and suddenly I was in the middle of that lake. I try to take a step but the ice cracks from the pressure, but I know I can’t just stay in place either.
I keep willing the ice to hold together, willing the cold to stay so the ice doesn’t break. I keep walking, searching for a place that’s safe, but all I see for miles and miles is the frozen lake.
I know at any moment I could fall through and drown.

Mahabang Buhangin beach is a virgin beach that has the advantage of it not being overcrowded and how staying here is a lot cheaper. There are plenty of activities to do on the island to get away from the toxicity of the city.

Bonifacio Global City Highstreet is filled with picturesque spots. The place is beautiful and surrounded with trees and art installations. When going exploring make sure you dress comfortably and weather appropriate. Wear comfy shoes because you’ll be doing a lot of walking. As for me, I went with sneakers.
