Improv or improvisation is a form of theatre where everything that is performed is unplanned and unscripted. From the words of an improviser, “The process of improv is by virtue, unpredictable. Unlike being able to fall back on a script, improvisers have to go on stage and be able to just go forth. Ultimately, it’s like banging rocks together; persist and persist until you create the spark that sets the scene on fire.” It is completely spontaneous and it is an absolute treat to watch. One of the up and coming improv groups here in Manila is Crammers’ Collective.
Crammers’ Collective is an all boy improv group consisting of twelve members whose ages range from 15-19. Their group consists of the youngest people in the improv scene.
They have been performing for a year now, having regular shows and even performing at the Manila Improv Festival where improv groups from around the world went to Manila to perform. They will be having another fun-filled show on May 27, 2017 at PARC Foundation, 8 pm onwards.

Tusita Temple or Dou Shuai Tian Gong in Chinese is a temple in Keqiao, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang China. “Dou” means old combat armor, “Shuai” means to command, and “Tian Gong” means the temple in heaven. When my friends told me that we were going on a hike, this was not at all what I expected. I expected trails and walking on grass and soil. Instead, there were smooth roads and cement stairs. This was definitely a one of a kind experience because the temple at the top was simply breathtaking.
Baler is a municipality found in Aurora, Philippines. It is a 5-6 hour drive from Manila, and it is the perfect place to go to if you want to learn something new and have your adrenalin rushing. I must admit that its beaches aren’t the pristine white beaches that a lot of people crave for, but it’s still worth the trip because of the new experience that it offers. It is after all, known for being one of the best spots for surfing in the Philippines. In fact, it has even been called the birthplace of surfing culture in the Philippines.
Pinto Art Museum is a sanctuary in the city of Antipolo. It is a project of Silangan Foundation for Arts, Culture, and Ecology, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Philippine arts and culture. Neurologist Dr. Joven Cuanang leads this foundation. This beautiful museum is such a relaxing, and feel good place. With its white pristine beds and sofas spread throughout the lawn, white open buildings, and of course, gorgeous art installations, who wouldn’t want to escape the city life for a few hours?
The Calaguas Islands can be found in the province of Camarines Norte. Its white beaches and crystal blue waters can rival the bigger and more popular beaches of the Philippines. Our adventure happened on Tinaga island, one of the two major islands. Mahabang Buhangin beach is a virgin beach that has the advantage of it not being overcrowded and how staying here is a lot cheaper. There are plenty of activities to do on the island to get away from the toxicity of the city.
Bolinao is a municipality located at the northernmost tip of the province of Pangasinan, Philippines. If you’re looking for a vacation spot that isn’t as crowded as the more popular beaches, and you don’t want to sacrifice the white sand and the clear waters, Bolinao is the place for you.

Bonifacio Global City Highstreet is filled with picturesque spots. The place is beautiful and surrounded with trees and art installations. When going exploring make sure you dress comfortably and weather appropriate. Wear comfy shoes because you’ll be doing a lot of walking. As for me, I went with sneakers. I always make sure an outfit is convertible. By that, I mean I should be able to adjust my outfit according to weather so that I am still comfortable. Continue reading
